Question: Why does Albuquerque’s water taste funny?
What we’ve learned:
Albuquerque’s water comes from two different sources, underground wells and groundwater from the San Juan-Chama River Drinking Water Project. The chlorine and arsenic in the water are two factors that may affect the water’s taste.
What we still need to learn:
We’d like some differing opinions from other sources. Because Water Utility Authority representatives are our primary source of information so far, more expert information from someone who works for an environmental organization would be helpful. We are currently seeking interviews with the New Mexico Environmental Law Center and the Department of Environmental Health.
