NM filmmaker: many ways to create movies, not just ‘Hollywood way’

As part of our Creative New Mexico project, News Port interns Ebony Romero and Angela Shen recently interviewed local film maker Christopher Michael Roybal.

Roybal, who is from northern New Mexico, spoke about his work with Incredible Films and gave advice to students who are interested in film.

Students should “think of the story you have to tell. Everybody has a particular story to tell,” he said.

Roybal also said there’s more than one way to make films and that not everything has to be done “the Hollywood way.”
