Where do student fees go?

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][text_output]

QUESTION IN PROGRESS

The Question:

Where do student fees go, and how much of them go to the athletic department?

What we learned so far:

Student fees at the University of New Mexico add up to $32 million a year. We are in the process of investigating how these student fees are distributed on campus and how they are delegated from students to specific departments.

We interviewed officials from the Athletic Department, The Office of Planning Budgeting and Analysis, and Associated Students of the University of New Mexico.

What we still need to learn:

We are in the process of contacting the Board of Regents to better understand the student’s voice in the Student Fee Review Board process.
