Isabel Gonzalez

our team

[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][text_output]Isabel Gonzalez is a sophomore at the University of New Mexico studying film and multimedia through the Interdisciplinary Film and Digital Media program. Her freshman year she interned with the Mountain West Network and did camera work for UNM athletics. This year she became a sports reporter for the Daily Lobo. Isabel is an athlete herself, having been figure skating since she was 11 years old. Her passion for sports was what led her to try her hand at non-fiction writing. Isabel always leaned toward visual communications, but although she never considered herself a writer, she admits to slowly be falling in love with writing. She never in a million years imagined herself covering politics, but thanks to the News Port, she discovered politics can be just as entertaining as sports.
