The world’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, is located near Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Since its development in 2011, the Spaceport has been a highly talked about project, in part because of its $218 million price tag.

With such a large investment, New Mexicans have been curious about when the first official flight will take off. Spaceport CEO Christine Anderson said “it takes a little time you know, because it is rocket science.”

Watch our video to find out how much a flight to space costs and what else the Spaceport has to offer.
